About

Welcome to Fincham Press, based at the University of Roehampton in south-west London, part of a new wave of university presses in the UK.

Fincham Press is conceived, commissioned, edited, and published by a team based in the English and Creative Writing subject area, part of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. Since 2014 we have published eight creative writing anthologies, a Journalism anthology, a book on representations of the professor in children’s literature, and a book on Young Adult writing by a pre-eminent practitioner of the form.

In May 2017 the press launched two open access peer-reviewed journals: the International Journal of James Bond Studies and RoundTable, run by the department’s research students, which gives a platform for early career research in their fields. In 2020 we added to this stable the International Journal of Young Adult Literature (IJYAL).

Our aim is to explore innovative approaches to publishing and dissemination of research, and to offer our students new channels for expression and learning.
